The pathway toward FUNCTIONAL unity is conversation – and this group are nailing it
We applaud our youth leaders in national positions. This group – with others who’d left before the pic was taken (about 10 of the group are missing), had another great day together yesterday.
How might we TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for the decline in Christian youth ministry – for the mission we have to reach out to all youth – to not shy away from the challenges, but instead to face them together, with our combined capacity in view?
The only possible answer is TOGETHER! This is not to be misunderstood as a platitude or poetry – or a nice thing to say. If not standing together, none of the organisations represented could ‘turn the dial’ nationally – yet together this group actually could – and is discussing how it will.
If you are praying for youth ministry in our nation, pray most-especially for this group of youth leaders in national positions. They set the pace for all who serve in other roles under them!
- What they can envision can happen; what they cannot envision will not happen.
In John 17 Jesus prays his followers would be united – functioning as one – “that the world might know”. There cause and effect – encompassing both natural synergy and divine favour.
This achieving of otherwise-impossible outcomes is what unity is about!
> The next goal is to see the same happening amongst youth leaders within every city and town that has a high school.
